Swagbucks Review

Friday, May 14, 2010
Search & WinI recently joined Swagbucks and my mind still isn't made up. At first they seem ok. It is a little slow going for me though, and I'm not sure if its because I'm still figuring it all out or maybe because I don't shop online. Either way though, I will stick with it. I doesn't really take much effort on my part. LOL maybe that is why I'm racking up the points so slow. :)

With Swagbucks, you can earn points, called "swagbucks" which can be redeemed for prizes. You can earn the Swagbucks by installing the toolbar and searching the web, shopping online (which earns you swagbucks depending on how much you spend), you can answer polls, complete special offers, trading in old/used cell phones and video games, findng swag codes (which I'm don't know a lot about. I will be looking into that one more)

I have my toolbar downloaded and I search the web like I usually do, and its been a couple weeks and right now (May 14, 2010) I'm at 170 Swagbucks, for basically doing nothing, so I will keep with it for a while longer. Its not a get rich quick type of thing but as I've been known to say, every little bit helps.

*****Updated 12/15/10 - I had gotten away from doing my blog and using ANY program. I started using Swagbucks today and I'm up over 600 SB. I turned on the Swagbucks TV in one of my browsers. The Swagbucks TV is videos that you can earn SB from watching their videos. I turned it on and just let it run. It reloaded itself automatically and I surfed the web as I normally do in another browser and it earned me SB. I am learning more on how to use this program and now that I have more time I will be utilizing it more as well as updating my blog more often.

***** Updated 12/22/10 I redeemed some of my points today YAY!!!!

People String Review

Tuesday, May 11, 2010

People String is a social network similar to facebook, but you get paid for using it. You can update your status, send emails, make new friends, play games etc. People String has been said to be the new wave in relationship and community, by paying out a share of their revenue to their users. Every time you log in you get "people points" and for using different parts of the site you accumulate different amounts of "people points". People points are used to calculate how much of the revenue you get. The more you are using this site the more people points you accumulate and the more you are paid. There are many different ways to make money and points. Some examples are a lotto card for you to scratch to get different amounts of points, cashbox where you get a postcard in your mailbox and you enter in the code, and many more. If you like using facebook and/or myspace, I totally recommend signing up for people string because if you are going to use a social networking site, why not get money for doing what you are already doing. You can also connect your account to your twitter and facebook accounts.

I'm fairly new to people string but even today I'm still finding new ways to use this site to make money. People string is a great concept and I will continue using them to build my network. If you would like to try people string, its free to sign up (I hate sites that charge to sign up) and you can Click Here.

Data Network Affiliates - My Review

Thursday, May 6, 2010

I have signed up with Data Network Affiliates about a month or so ago, after much skepticism. I researched the company and ALOT of what I had found were about Data Network Affiliates being a scam. But at the same time I found a lot about them being legit as well. Since it was free to sign up, I figured I had nothing to lose but my time, so I figured I would give it a try. And they HAVE paid, so I think I will stick with them. My husband is with them as well, although I'm the one that does the work, it is just under his name and email address so we can make a little more.

For this company, they pay you to enter car tags. I thought it was a little weird at first, but they use the information to help with amber alerts and stuff. It's kind of a slow process for pay out though, because you can only enter in 5 tags a day, unless you purchase their system, which I don't want to do because I'm not positive that I like the program enough to go spending my money on it. So for now, I will stick with the free version. And with the free version, you only get paid for 20 tags a month.

What I do, is while I'm outside with my daughter waiting for her bus, I jot down 5 tags from the cars driving by. Sometimes I will do more but I don't live on a busy street, and I can only enter in five anyway, so that is my target. My daughter and I make a game out of it, and its not taking any extra time from my schedule because I've got to be out by the street anyway, so I might as well use the time wisely. Then, through out the day, in between caring for and playing with the other kids, I enter the tags into mine and my husbands Data Network Affiliates "back office" (I usually get my husbands 5 tag numbers while I'm waiting for the bus to drop my daughter back off in the afternoon)

You get $2.00 for 20 tags. It is more if you purchase their software but I am going to stick to the Free version. Every little bit helps and it doesn't take a lot of time out of your schedule. I always have a pen and paper in the car, so even when I'm out and about, I jot down the tag in front of me.

There are other ways to make money as well, if you want to use your website to sell products, but I'm not much of a salesperson so I stick with the data entry. They are working on other programs and will soon release more data entry options, so I think for me, I will stick with the Free program and do the data entry. As long as I'm still making something, I will continue. If you want to check them out you can CLICK HERE to get started. And if you need any help, let me know and I will be happy to help and give tips on what has worked for me.

*******I STOPPED DOING THIS AS IT WAS NOT WORTH IT - YOU ENTERED ALL THE TAG NUMBERS AND ONLY GOT PAID ONCE FOR YOUR REFERRALS - NOT WORTH IT AND I NEVER DID GET PAID FROM THEM**********************

Review for MyPoints.com

Wednesday, May 5, 2010

When my friend first told me about MyPoints, I was a little skeptical. I had done some Pay To Click sites and NEVER got paid for any of them. So I wasn't too keen on the idea of clicking on ads for points. My friend kept bugging me to sign up under her and I finally reluctantly gave in and signed up. And I'm GLAD I DID! I've been a MyPoints member for over a year now and have been paid out many times.

How does it work? You can earn points many ways. Shopping, reading emails, playing games, searching online, taking surveys, etc. For me, I don't like to shop online, so I pretty much stick to the bonus emails and surveys. I spend maybe 5 min, if that, clicking the emails and/or taking a survey. When you are ready to redeem your points, you redeem them for gift cards to 100's or brand name stores, restaurants, and even gas to choose from. Last year, I did a good deal of my Christmas shopping by saving up my points until the Christmas season. I either redeemed the cards and did the shopping myself or I redeemed the points for the gift card and that was my gift. It made my Christmas season so much less stressful because I didn't spend money that I should have been using for my bills. This year though, I have been redeeming the gas cards. Either way, every little bit helps. Its 100% Free to sign up and if you have even a few min. a day or even a week, I totally recommend MyPoints. Click HERE if you would like to sign up. I'm pretty sure you will be glad you did.

I decided I would keep a tab for you all to see how my points are coming. I have just redeemed some points for a gas card and should be here in the next few days. But today is May 5th, 2010 (Cinco de Mayo) and I have a total of 537 points, and my husband has a total of 345 points. He doesn't do his much, just maybe on the weekends. But I will update this post every so often to give a tab of how the points accumulate.

*** Today is May 25th and I have 832 points and my hubby has 615 points - not to bad considering I don't shop for points, I just click on the emails****

Program Reviews

I am starting this blog to let others see how this sahm is making some extra cash to help makes ends meet. You obviously can't get rich doing it but every little bit helps. And with 3 small kids running around this is pretty simple.

So in this blog I will be reviewing some of the programs I belong to, and which ones actually pay, and which ones that I don't recommend. So after I get my children for a nap (I baby sit as well) I will be posting more.

If you have a program that you use and would like me to try, then please respond or send me an email and I will sign up and try it out and give my honest opinion.
